Off to a rocky start for our no spend February. Lost my job on January 31st, and with that went my company cell phone and all my contacts. It’s surprising how attached our lives can become to a little box in your pocket. Well anyway, I went out yesterday and bought a cell phone and plan at the best rate I could find for my required usage. Our no spend February tracker has started with a red 1st. We are still confident we can close out the month strong. We have budgeted for food and gas aside from regular bills. Our February financial goals can be found here.
While I have been home for the past couple days I have become deeply interested in SEO for our blog. Finding a new job is my number one priority but also looking to make some significant improvements to our blog while I have the time. There are so many articles, suggestions and resources on the topic, I have to be sure not to get stuck in a mire. I am planning a step by step strategy to make changes real soon.
Thanks for reading, please leave comments.

I’m sorry to hear that you lost your job. Hopefully you can find an even better job here soon. Good luck on improving your SEO there are so many amazing resources out there.
Oh man, I’m very sorry to hear that. I hope you can find a new, wonderful job soon. 🙂 I wouldn’t beat yourself up too much about the cell phone. I know you’ve already signed up, but I saved a lot more money using Google Fi instead of Verizon/AT&T. I think I pay $25/mo and I own my phone.
Also, hit me up if you’d like SEO suggestions. I’m a full-time marketer and I do SEO. I can give some free pointers. 🙂
Good luck!
Sorry about the job loss. I went through one in 2015. Let me know if I can help. Network, network, network. Make sure your friends and family know. Always best to have a recommendation when looking for a new position. Get the LinkedIn profile ready. Good luck!
Stand strong, Ike, and don’t give up. You guys can do this!
